Members.VP of Data Science & BIThe Vice President of Data Science
and Business Intelligence leads the functional group whose core
mission is to contribute to the ideation, design, development, and
deployment of end-to-end analytics applications and solutions as
well as help lead the Data Science practice within the organization
through a well-balanced mixture of People, Process, and Technology.
This role will collaborate closely with both internal (department)
and external (organizational) client teams to help identify
opportunities to create value through better use of data. This role
will ensure that data is transformed into actionable information
that drives programmatic and administrative insights. The role
demands strong thought leadership as well as excellent
communication, relationship building, and robust problem-solving.
Said candidate will play a crucial role in Niagara s rapid and
continuous transformation into a world-class supply chain
organization. So doing will require us to leverage leading-edge
data transformation technologies and process improvement
methodologies to enable our company to dominate in our targeted
market segments.Essential FunctionsResponsibilities:Provides
strategic vision and unifying leadership to an organization
comprising of Data Science and Decision AnalyticsProof-of-concept
implementation of advanced statistical modeling and machine
learning algorithmsAbility to perform analyses and tests that
quantify the business value of an opportunityManage and contribute
to the development of Data Scientists at varying stages of their
careersProvide technical leadership in establishing best practices
in initiating, planning, and executing Big Data application
developmentEstablish and maintain data quality standards and
processes to improve the overall reliability of BI solutions.Lead
the design and implementation of data models, dashboards, and
reports that provide actionable insights to different business
units.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify KPIs and data
requirements to support data-driven decision-making.Build strong
relationships with stakeholders, understanding their business
challenges and translating them into data solutions.Define and
track key performance metrics for the BI team's effectiveness and
impact on the organization's goals.Effectively communicate the
value of BI initiatives and outcomes to stakeholders at all
levels.Scope and manage complex data analytic projects end-to-end
in a matrixed environment, which includes communicating with both
technical and non-technical stakeholdersTranslate business and
research questions into analytics plans using Niagara s data
assets, and identify and implement approaches to scale or automate
processes where applicableEnable large-scale and intricate
technology-based solutions toward maximizing the company s
long-term strategic positioning beyond simple cost optimization
while maintaining serviceFosters internal culture of thought
leadership and excellence in the areas of Decisions Analytics, Data
Science,Facilitates the application of innovative quantitative
techniques from the areas of operations research, statistical
analysis, predictive and prescriptive modeling, and machine
learning to help provide next-level insights and decision-support
toolsProvides highly actionable strategic and operational key
performance indicators and dashboards for internal and external
