none.Position Purpose:The Director, Data Sciences oversees and
manages all aspects of NICB's advanced data science and analytics
program. As a relatively new program, this role will be responsible
for identifying opportunities to leverage modern data techniques to
further NICB's mission. This will require extensive coordination
within NICB and with NICB member companies to identify potential
projects. It will also require a high-level understanding of many
data analytic techniques and tools (like network analysis, machine
learning, and ETL). The Director, Data Sciences will also be
responsible for managing projects and programs from start to
finish, assigning work to team members as appropriate, and
coordinating with all involved stakeholders. -Work Arrangement and
Description: -This is a remote position which means NICB grants the
privilege and flexibility to work from a location within the
boundaries of the United States or its Territories.
- Supervise and manage employees on NICB's data science team

- Identify new opportunities to leverage data techniques to
advance NICB's mission -
- Identify resources, skill sets, and tools necessary to
accomplish projects and coordinate acquisition of those resources

- Translates high-level strategic aims set by executive
leadership to individual projects, goals, and tasks -
- Coordinates and briefs NICB executives, member companies, law
enforcement, and other stakeholders on matters related to data
analytics -
- Establishes best practices for organizing and managing data
analytic work. -
- Provides effective leadership and mentorship to subordinate
employees -
- Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements/Abilities:
- High level understanding of modern data technologies, including
machine learning, network analysis, ETL, and cloud computing.

environment.Education, Work Experience, Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree required, degree in Computer Science, Data
Science, or other computational discipline preferred; and 8 - 10
years of relevant work experience
- Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, or other
computational discipline -preferred
- 4-5 years managing data analytics projects (i.e., machine
learning projects, building data pipelines, building data-centric
applications) -
- Experience leading/managing teams preferred
- Experience in insurance industry, especially fraud detection
preferred -
- Experience in law enforcement preferredSupervisory
Responsibilities:Supervises at least 5 employees on data team in
addition to overseeing several contract support

- Some travel may be required -Salary Range:The salary range for
this position is $130,000 to $177,000. Please keep in mind that
this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job
grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer
will take into account a wide range of factors including the
specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic
location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or
