Job Description Summary The LaFetra College of Education at the
University of La Verne invites applications for a 50%
non-tenure-track faculty position in the Leadership Programs to
begin in the Fall 2026 academic term. Teaching responsibilities may
include courses within the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, Doctor
of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership, and/or Doctor of
Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership programs. This position
carries a two-course annual teaching load (one course per semester)
and includes overseeing the Dissertation in Practice (DiP) process
for doctoral students. The faculty member will work closely with
students and dissertation committee members to ensure the
successful completion of the DiP, provide training and consultation
for faculty chairs, and support continuous improvement of the
dissertation process within the program. We seek a dynamic and
collaborative professional who demonstrates excellence in
graduate-level teaching, mentoring, and scholarly practice. The
core competencies of the Leadership Programs include leadership,
change, and contribution as they relate to personal and
interpersonal, team, and organizational effectiveness. The aim of
our leadership programs is to develop scholarly practitioners as
leaders and architects of change who make significant contributions
to the organizations and communities they serve. Minimum
Qualifications Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) with an emphasis
in leadership, educational leadership, or a closely related field
from a regionally accredited institution. Experience teaching
graduate/postgraduate leadership courses. Demonstrated experience
mentoring or supervising doctoral research or dissertations,
preferably in applied or practice-based programs. Knowledge of
qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method research approaches
applicable to the Dissertation in Practice. Proficiency with online
and hybrid instructional technologies and adult learning
strategies. Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
ability to work with diverse adult learners and faculty teams.
Evidence of commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice in
leadership education. Preferred Qualifications Experience
overseeing dissertations or capstone projects in doctoral
leadership programs. Experience teaching or leading in PK–12,
higher education, or community organizations. Knowledge of
dissertation management platforms or systems that support applied
research. Record of scholarship or professional presentations in
leadership, organizational change, or equity-focused education.
